Attract Customers Organically

I am an Inbound Marketing Specialist who owns and runs a Hubspot Certified Inbound Marketing Agency. A connoisseur of the inbound marketing methodology.  I am a Hubspot marketing consultant who will make you push aside your traditional marketing and lure customers to come to you as organically as possible.

Inbound Marketing - What is it?

But, what is inbound marketing? How does it work exactly? In my experience, I have had to explain what I do and what inbound marketing actually is to a large number of people including family, friends, and strangers.

Inbound in a Nutshell

Upon my explanation, the responses I usually receive range from vacant stares to genuine intrigue. Generally, I try to simplify what I do as generating web traffic and inbound sales through social media, such as LinkedIn, blogging, search engine optimization (SEO), content creation and keywords.

That "Aha!" Moment

What I love most is when people I know who once were confused or not interested in what I do have that “Aha!” moment. For example, a friend recently was confronted by her boss to revamp their marketing efforts for their real estate business, as their current marketing was no longer generating the sales they needed.

Assessing the Current Marketing Situation

She knew I did some sort of marketing and wanted to hear more and so I sat down with her and went down a list of questions to get a better understanding of their situation. The questions were as followed:

  1. You have a Facebook Business Page? No.
  2. You have a LinkedIn Business Page? Yes, but do not use it beyond the basic business information.
  3. You have Twitter? No.
  4. Do you have a YouTube Channel? No.
  5. Do you have a blog? No.
  6. Do you have any access to the business website to manage keywords and search engine optimization (SEO)? No.
  7. So, what marketing tactics do you use to generate customers? Word-of -mouth and mailed postcard ads.

Non-Value Added Marketing Activities

Major Changes Needed

Based on these few questions, my friend and I both realized that her company needed some major changes in their marketing plan or else the business will surely continue to suffer.

Our Action Plan for Measurable Improvement

We created a plan that consisted of Inbound Marketing methodologies utilizing all forms of social media to advertise available real estate properties, reestablishing their online email campaign and creating checklists relevant to buying in the local area and posting them on the website.

Why Focus on Social Media?

Social media is a crucial component of any successful digital marketing strategy. With billions of active users on popular platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, social media is a goldmine for businesses looking to expand their online presence and attract new customers. By leveraging advanced digital marketing strategies like content creation, search engine optimization, and targeted advertising, businesses can use social media to engage with their audience, build brand awareness, and ultimately increase sales. The key to success on social media is to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices, and to be consistent in your messaging and branding across all platforms. With the right approach, social media can be a powerful tool for growing your business and achieving your marketing goals.

Social Media and Small Business

In today's competitive business landscape, small businesses need to have a solid social media strategy to stay relevant and effectively compete with the big guys. A real estate agency, for example, can leverage social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to advertise their available properties, engage with their audience, and ultimately increase sales. By creating valuable content such as checklists, whitepapers, and videos, a real estate agency can attract both new and old customers and establish their credibility in the industry. With the right execution of inbound marketing methodologies, a small business can level the playing field and achieve measurable improvement in their marketing efforts. It's essential to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing to ensure success in the long run.

Finding Your Ideal Customer

To effectively market to your target audience, it's first important to identify who they are and where they can be found. For a local real estate agency, social media channels like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter can be great resources for finding potential customers. By creating targeted ads and utilizing advanced digital marketing strategies like content creation and search engine optimization, businesses can engage with their audience, build brand awareness, and increase sales. It's essential to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing to ensure success in the long run. With the right approach and execution of inbound marketing methodologies, a small business like a real estate agency can level the playing field and achieve measurable improvement in their marketing efforts.

Premium on Execution

However, there are thousands of businesses that are suffering because they are not executing aspects of their marketing efforts correctly or not utilizing important marketing platforms at all. Here are three reasons why your current marketing efforts may not be working and why you need to implement some new inbound marketing methodologies into your marketing strategy:

  1. X Doesn’t Always Mark The Target Market Spot

Sometimes businesses lose focus on their essential target markets. Some may spotlight on too broad of a target market fearing that they may lose out on unmarked territories. A number of businesses may pick the completely wrong market for their product, trying to get a group of consumers to buy into a product that is not relevant to them at all. It’s really important for a business to get their market segmentation properly aligned before they move forward with their marketing campaign or else they will lose money, time and credibility.

To truly succeed with digital marketing campaigns, it is essential to have a dedicated landing page for each target audience. This allows for a more personalized approach to marketing, as each page can be tailored specifically to the needs and interests of that particular audience. By providing relevant content and information, businesses can better engage with their audience and increase the chances of converting them into customers. Without a dedicated landing page, businesses run the risk of losing potential customers who may not find the information they need or may become overwhelmed by irrelevant content. In today's competitive business landscape, it is crucial to stand out and provide a seamless user experience, and a dedicated landing page is a key component in achieving that.

  2. Your Current Advertising + Your Business = Zero

If your current marketing efforts are giving you dismal results then something is missing. There are so many marketing tools available that companies are simply not  taking advantage of. Don’t be stuck in what is tried and true all the time because though it might have consistently worked in the past, marketing trends are changing quickly. Marketing sources like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Pinterest are what every business MUST consider to include in their marketing efforts in order to stay relevant with consumers and access the customers they need.

One effective way for real estate agents to generate leads is by creating an online mortgage calculator as a widget on Facebook and a dedicated landing page. This tool can be used to attract potential clients who are in the process of buying a property and looking for information on mortgage rates and payments. By providing a valuable service, agents can establish trust and credibility with their audience, and increase the chances of converting them into customers. As an inbound marketing consultant, I have seen the power of content creation and social media in driving web traffic and inbound sales. With the right execution of inbound marketing methodologies, businesses can level the playing field and achieve measurable improvement in their marketing efforts. It's essential to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing to ensure success in the long run, and to provide a seamless user experience to attract and retain customers.

  3. No Viable Bait For The Fish

A business needs to be always thinking of how many different ways they can draw in their customers but that is both conducive to their brand and customer. Like a fish in the ocean, consumers need to be lured in and then be given something delicious to hook them. Through content creation concepts such as blogging, ebooks, checklists, whitepapers, videos, and newsletters a business is giving something more to the customer that will enrich them more about the product or industry, and with every new piece that is produced the more chances a business has to draw in new customers and attract old ones again.

When it comes to creating happy and loyal customers who will refer your business to others, a well-written blog post can be a game changer. Blogging regularly must become one of your go-to marketing habits.  For example, a real estate agency could use their blog to showcase their expertise in the industry by providing helpful tips for homebuyers, showcasing local real estate trends, and highlighting their own available properties. By consistently providing valuable content, the agency can establish trust and credibility with their audience, making them more likely to choose this agency for their future real estate needs. Additionally, the blog can be shared on social media platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn, further expanding the agency's reach and attracting new potential customers. In short, a well-written blog can be a powerful tool for building a loyal customer base and driving referrals for your business.
