Do you ever wonder what the difference is between a Key Figure Model and an “Account Model”? As providers of SAP BW integrated planning consulting, we thought we would try to help you understand the key concepts.  It will make a difference on your next SAP Business Intelligence project.

 

SAP Business Intelligence Customer

 

If you are an SAP Business Intelligence Customer or SAP IBP consultant who works via a SAP Partner, this is an important concept you will have to both know and be able to model within the SAP Business Warehouse Integrated Planning system.

 

Briefly, a Key Figure Model contains the key figures in a data record, and an account model contains a characteristic, such as Sales Price, in the model.

 

In the diagram above you get an idea of what the two different approaches look like from a conceptual standpoint.
