How To Execute Your SAP Projects Better, Cheaper, Faster [Checklist]

 

Now that you have bought SAP, you might be wondering about the SAP Project Management Implementation Methodology, known as ASAP or Accelerated SAP. 

 

Though much has been written about it, and SAP provides training on it, I have found that there are some key tips you should be aware of that come only from experience, i.e., having been the SAP Project Manager on a large number of SAP implementation projects.  I have made a series of videos on each phase of the SAP ASAP implementation methodology to help you ensure your projects are executed, Better, Cheaper, Faster.

 

SAP ASAP Project Preparation Phase. 

This phase is primarily about setting up the ideal project environment.  The SAP project manager and the Customer Project Manager need to work to create an ideal project environment.

 

 

SAP ASAP Project Blueprint Phase.

As in any other design process, 80% of the ultimate cost of the project will be determined here.  So spend the time to explore the possible solutions and get the most bang-for-the-buck!

 

 

SAP ASAP Project Realization Phase. 

 

This is the heavy-lifitng phase of the project; long hours, perhaps a few tears..

 

 

SAP ASAP Final Preparation Phase. 

You are almost there!  Your end-users now start to take even more of the center stage.

 

 

SAP ASAP Project Go-Live Phase. 

 

This is probably the most important phase, because this is when the business starts to see some return on their investment.
