What are the keys to an effective SAP Webi Template:

• Having a template is probably a great place to start.  The tool is so simple, on the surface, that there is a great temptation to just 'get er done'. 
  
  Don't go there.
  
  
• Like all templates, the template must come with both a version control mechanism and customer sign-off mechanism.
  
  
• The template must have the following sections:
  
  Business Purpose for Data Analysis
  Priority
  Description of Analysis
  Analysis Requirements
  Data Security Requirements
  Origin of Fields
  Source Fields
  Appendix

These are, of course, just our recommended minimum number of fields.  Your particular requirements may require more or less information.
