How To Have A Successful SAP Implementation Project

After a long, hard, evaluation process, you have finally decided on SAP software solutions as your new ERP system and want to avoid SAP Implementation mistakes.  That's great, SAP software solutions are in use around the world in almost every imaginable industry.  But you want to know what to avoid during your SAP ERP implementation.

You’re in luck!

The implementation of SAP has been refined through more than 100,000 customer implementations and is incorporated in the SAP Implementation methodology known as SAP ASAP.  There are, in fact, various flavors of the SAP ASAP implementation methodology.  The flavor you will use depends on several factors:

  • Single Site implementation

  • Multi-site, global implementation

  • Upgrade of an existing system

  • Divesture or acquisition situation.

5 Surprising Reasons Enterprises Don’t Use An ERP

Fortunately, SAP provides training on each type of implementation approach, but as a new customer, you may feel somewhat overwhelmed and would appreciate the advice and guidance of a seasoned SAP Project Manager with experience using the SAP implementation process

Not to worry.

I happen to be one and have prepared a set of guides and online videos which go beyond the SAP implementation methodology and tell you, what, in my experience, you must do both during the pre-SOW phase and during each of the ASAP Methodology Phases.  Those SAP implementation projects phases include:

  • Project Preparation
  • Blueprint
  • Realization
  • Final Preparation
  • Go-Live Phase

I think the videos are probably easier to follow and you can view them here.  I cover what I've learned about SAP ERP implementation steps so you can avoid SAP implementation failure. The rest are on my youtube channel-SAPBWConsulting.

I have prepared a written list of these tips as well which you can access by clicking the button.
